HEARINGS IN FRONT OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE LAW JUDGE (ALJ)

HEARINGS IN FRONT OF ADMINSTRATIVE LAW JUDGES
If your Initial Application (IA) or Request for Reconsideration is denied you will have 60 days to file a 501 appeal.
This appeal is for an administrative hearing in front of an ALJ.
You will have the opportunity to testify under oath about your disability impairment(s).
Wait times vary from state to state but average 14-20 months for a hearing across the United States.
You will need updated medical evidence to be gathered before the hearing and submitted at least 2 weeks prior to your hearing date.
Each Claimant will need to submit a brief setting forth Statements of Fact and Conclusions of Law to support their claim.
Past work analysis and cross-examination of any Medical Expert (ME) or Vocational Expert (VE) will be necessary at every hearing.
You will need to obtain a supportive Residual Functional Capacity Assessment(s) (RFCA) from your treating physicians in order to support your claim of disability. We have forms for each kind of impairment(s).
You will need to be prepared on how to testify on your own behalf. You will need an experienced advocate who has experience with the types of questions ALJs ask.
We will help your testimony be consistent with evidence of record.
ALJs appreciate well-documented claims. Having all your doctor statements, medical records, and pre-hearing briefs submitted in a timely and orderly fashion greatly improves your chances of winning.
